Minimum Submittal Requirements

  1. Construction Permit Application: It is the owner’s responsibility to obtain a permit by completing an application. A signature is required on the application from the owner or owner’s authorized agent. The application shall be submitted along with the site plans, building plans and specifications.
    • Applicants must provide the primary contact information for the project. 
    • Each building will require a separate application.
  2. Construction Plans: Submit five (5) complete sets of documents, a maximum plan size of 24” x 36”, drawn to scale. (Note: illegible or oversized plans may be subject to a $75.00 per sheet charge.) Plans may be required to be prepared by an Arizona registered design professional. Plan copies must have a permanently legible imprint of registrant’s seal and signature. Copies of the original sealed documents will be accepted.
    • All work shall comply with the adopted codes and ordinances as amended by the Town of Queen Creek. A code summary shall be referenced in the bibliography.
    • Identify and describe the work to be covered by the permit for which application is made.
    • Describe the land on which the proposed work is to be done by legal description, street address, suite number or similar description that will readily identify and definitely locate the proposed building or work.
    • Indicate the use and occupancy for which the proposed work is intended.
    • Be accompanied by construction documents and other information as required in Section 7.1.5.
    • State the valuation of the proposed work.
    • Be signed by the applicant, or the applicant's authorized agent.
    • Give such other data and information as required by the Building Official.
  3. Plan Review Fees: Plan review fees are collected at the 1st review submittal. These fees are calculated using the valuation of construction and square footage. 
    • To request a fee estimate prior to submitting, please contact a Permit Technician at 480-358-3003. 
    • All third and subsequent submittals may require additional plan review fees.
    • Payments can be made by check or credit/debit card.
  4. Address Requests: For commercial projects not involving a plat, complete the Address Request Form and attach a separate site plan to submit at time of building permit application.
    • Do not use building letters or suite numbers on the plans as these may change at address assignment. 

Additional Documents Required Prior to Permit Issuance

  1. Special Inspection Certificate (if applicable): Submit with Sections A, B and C completed, including seal and signature of the Arizona registered design professional, and signed by the owner or owner/agent.

** Courtesy Notice from Building Safety: A Town of Queen Creek Business License is required before opening for business and must be on display in a conspicuous place within the licensee's place of business. Contact the Town Clerk for additional information **
