Queen Creek is joining with other Valley cities to provide prescription discount cards to residents who are without health insurance, a traditional benefits plan, or have prescriptions that are not covered by insurance.
The Prescription Discount Card is made available by the Town of Queen Creek in collaboration with the National League of Cities (NLC). The easy-to-use prescription discount cards help residents save money on medications by providing an average savings of 20 percent off the retail price of commonly prescribed drugs.
There is no enrollment form required to get a card and no membership fee. Residents and their family members can use the card by simply showing their card when purchasing prescription drugs at participating pharmacies.
The discount cards have no restrictions based on the resident’s age, income level or existing health coverage. The card can be used when purchasing prescription drugs at all of the local pharmacies in town, as well as at more than 60,000 participating retail pharmacies across the country.
This is not insurance. Discounts are only available at participating pharmacies. By using this card, participants agree to pay the entire prescription cost less any applicable discount. Savings may vary by drug and pharmacy.
