 We have some new and exciting Dance, Tumbling, Cheer & Music classes for the Fall. Read below for more information. 

ActivStars: Cheerleading   4-15 yrs
Cheer leading classes feature fun and safety as students build skills preparing them for school tryouts! Students learn cheers, chants, jumps, pom-dance routines and age-appropriate stunts. Registration is on-site at the Library Recreation Annex on the first day of class, Tuesday 8/22. Enrollment period ends 9/12. Instructor: ActivStars 

Returning this Fall: Sprouting Melodies-Family Sprouts  6 months-3 yrs
All young children can learn and grow through music. Family Sprouts gathers kids and families together and provides opportunities for children of different ages to learn and interact together. Instructor: Christine Heaps

Returning this Fall: Instant Guitar for Hopelessly Busy People  13+ yrs

Have you ever wanted to learn the guitar but simply find it difficult to find the time? In just a few hours you can learn enough about playing the guitar to give you years of musical enjoyment, and you won't have to take private lessons to do it. This crash course will teach you some basic chords and get you playing along with your favorite songs right away. Bring your acoustic guitar. Class limited to 15 students. There is a $29 supply fee due to the instructor on the first day of class.

Returning this Fall: Instant Piano for Hopelessly Busy People  13+ yrs

In just a few hours, you can learn enough secrets of the trade to give you years of musical enjoyment. How do we do it? While regular piano teachers teach note reading, piano professionals use chords. If you can find middle C and know the meaning of Every Good Boy Does Fine, you already know enough to enroll in this workshop. Total beginners can download a free pamphlet on reading the treble clef at this link.

Ballet/Lyrical-ShowSTARS (formerly Ballet)  5-8 yrs
Time in class will be spent learning ballet & lyrical technique. Ballet shoes recommended. Instructor: 8*Count Dance

Tap/Jazz-ShowSTARS (formerly Tap/Jazz)  5-8 yrs/9-13 yrs
This class is perfect for the dancer who has taken at least a year or more of consistent dance. Students continue to master ShowSTARS tap and jazz programs. Tap and jazz shoes recommended. Instructor: 8*Count Dance

Hip-Hop ShowSTARS (formerly Hip-Hop)  5-8 yrs/9-13 yrs
In this fun, high-energy class, students learn basic to intermediate hip-hop dance moves. Tennis shoes recommended. Instructor: 8*Count Dance

Returning this Fall: Adult Tap  18+ yrs
In this fun, high-energy class, students learn basic to intermediate rhythmic tap steps and get a great workout! All experience levels welcome. Tap shoes recommended. Instructor: 8*Count Dance.

Save the Date: Holiday Performance N' Picnic  Saturday, Dec. 9th
Grab your blanket and picnic baskets and come watch 8*Count Dance students perform. This is a great way to see the variety of classes offered with Queen Creek Parks & Recreation.

  • Refunds will be given to cancellations received before the end of the registration period. Please expect 4-6 weeks to receive your refund.
  • Failure to attend a program or 'no shows' will not be granted a refund.
  • Requests for refunds must be given in writing.
  • All Convenience Fees paid for online transactions are non-refundable.
