Mayor Gail Barney attended the annual Arizona Parks & Recreation Association Awards ceremony. Queen Creek's Recreation Coordinator Erica Perez received the Young Professional Award for her dedication, passion and leadership.

Arizona League of Cities and Towns Conference

Mayor Gail BarneyVice Mayor Dawn Oliphant, and Council members Craig Barnes, Robin BenningJeff BrownEmilena Turley, and Julia Wheatley attended the annual League of Cities and Towns Conference to learn about new laws impacting municipalities, trends in economic development, engaging the youth of the community and innovative ideas for the future. For the first time, two youth representatives from Queen Creek High School carried the Town flag in the parade of flags, accompanied by Vice Mayor Oliphant, the Town Council's education liaison.
